 On 'Sorry Day' Hobsons Bay Libraries present

A River Dreaming

Join Elizabeth (Betty) Pike, an Elder and writer in residence at the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry on 'Sorry Day'.

Betty is a Nyoongah woman, whose ancestors are the people of south-west Australia and an Irish convict. On the eve of Reconciliation Week gain insights into reconciliation and Betty's book A River Dreaming which is closely linked to her own personal story of dislocation from culture and loss of identity, a loss that started with the removal of her aboriginal grandmother from her people at Albany W.A.

You are invited to warm up with a Cup-a-Soup and crusty bread at 6.30pm

Talk commences at 7.00pm
